A new initiative for story writers
The reading period for Red Ink is now open (1st June - 31st August)
With poetry edited by John Masefield awardee and Oppenheim Winner, Ian Parks (Winter Edition) and Peter Lewin (Summer Edition) Red Ink is set to be a new voice in publishing. With Short Stories edited by Jerwood-Arvon nominee, Andrew Oldham, Red Ink will be the only UK publication to print stories of any length, from vignette to novella.
Red Ink will also publish only 5-8 poets in each issue, allowing up to five poems by each poet to be printed, visit the website for submission guidelines and submission address. Selected poets will receive a free subscription to the magazine for a year.
Red Ink is published twice a year and will accept work from publishers and writers, (but it will only accept excerpts from novels from their publishers to promote novels due for publication). Writers must only submit one story at a time for consideration in either the December and June issues. Selected writers will receive a free subscription to the magazine for a year.
The magazine is only £4 for two issues or £7 for four issues and is emailed directly to subscribers. If you subscribe before the 1st August you will get a free subscription to Incorporating Writing.
